Tyler Bergeron, Pioneer Post & Beam's founder and President is a native New Englander. By the age of 5, he was enthralled by carpentry, influenced by handy and capable, older family members and local craftsmen who still remembered the art of traditional construction.

Thanks to this early, hands-on training, Tyler developed the ability to see solutions to building challenges and appreciate the traditional proportions of historic buildings. So naturally, Tyler and his staff have an array of well-developed skills for their clientele.

In 1990, Tyler began working for a well-known New England post & beam building company. This opportunity helped him defined the qualities which would
define Pioneer Post & Beam's mission – "To be respectful to the trade and heritage of Post & Beam/Timberframe building. To responsibly and efficiently assist clients in achieving their goals of building structures with a purpose. And to utilize materials from only the New England ecosystem to the fullest extent possible."
